In this video, I show how I collect disposable vapes and recover the lithium batteries inside them. Many people throw these vapes away, but inside them there are still usable lithium-ion batteries that can be reused for different electronics projects.
First, I clean the collected vapes and then carefully open them to remove the batteries. During the process, I show different types of disposable vapes and how easy or difficult it is to open each one.
After extracting the batteries, I compare them with a new battery and show the approximate value of each battery. These small lithium batteries can still be very useful for DIY electronics projects.
Finally, I explain how to charge these batteries safely using the TP4056 charging module and show the basic wiring diagram for charging and powering small electronic devices.
You can also use these recovered batteries to build a DIY power bank. I have already made a full video showing how to build one.
