Don’t Throw Away Your Vape Batteries — Build This!

Share

In this video, I’ll show you step by step how I built a fully 3D printed portable fan powered by recycled 18550 Li-ion batteries recovered from disposable vapes.

This compact fan features variable speed control using a PWM controller, allowing you to easily adjust the airflow. The fan head can also be tilted up and down using the two side screws, so you can direct the airflow exactly where you need it.

The fan is also rechargeable via USB-C, making it a practical portable option for your desk, workshop, bedside table, camping, or travel.

♻️ This project is a great way to give reusable vape batteries a second life while creating something practical and useful with 3D printing.

I’ve already made a separate step-by-step video showing how I remove and recover the batteries. You can watch it at the link below:

⚠️ Battery Safety:
Only reuse Li-ion cells that are undamaged and suitable for reuse. Do not use swollen, punctured, overheated, leaking, or otherwise damaged batteries. Take appropriate precautions when handling, connecting, and charging Li-ion cells.
